UST graduate tops medical technology board exam

MANILA, Philippines - A graduate of the University of Santo Tomas topped the Medical Technology Licensure Examination given by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

Only 514 out of 873 examinees passed the examination held in Baguio, Manila, and Cebu, according to the PRC.

Zane Kevin Gervacio scored 88.30 percent and led the 514 passers.

Krizza Almond Aguilar of Centro Escolar University placed second with a grade of 87.70 percent.

Merla Bitonia of Lyceum of Batangas ranked third, scoring 87.60 percent.

Grethel Navarro of Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation landed in fourth place with 87.40 percent grade.

In fifth place was Michael Bangloy of University of Baguio, who obtained a score of 86.80 percent, followed by Mark Laurence Ventura of FEU with an 86.70 percent grade.

Glena Biteno of St. Louis University placed seventh with a score of 86.30 percent, while Niño de Jesus of Trinity of Asia placed eighth with a grade of 86.10 percent.

Warith Thia Elang of Universidad de Zamboanga and Blesil Achas of Velez College placed the ninth and 10th, with scores of 85.80 percent and 85.50 percent.

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be from March 15 to 26. 

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The oath-taking ceremony of the successful examinees, as well as previous passers who have not taken their oath, will be held before the PRC board on April 11 at 1 p.m. at the Manila Hotel’s Fiesta Pavillon.  - Mayen Jaymalin
