'Donate blood this Christmas'
MANILA, Philippines - This Yuletide season, give blood to save lives.
The Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) is promoting an intensified blood donation program during the holiday season to address the shortage of blood supply in the country.
“Lives can be saved with every bag of blood you donate to the Red Cross,” PNRC said.
PNRC said despite the continuous promotion of blood donation, the number of blood donors in the country remains scarce.
Red Cross said many dengue and cancer patients would be saved if the country can maintain a sufficient supply of safe blood.
“You will not only make the families of those who need blood happy, you will also experience a unique feeling of saving people’s lives.”
