MANILA, Philippines - Lotto frenzy is on as the jackpot for tonight’s 6/49 Super Lotto online lottery draw is expected to hit P125 million after nobody won the top prize last Tuesday.
Conrado Zabella, assistant general manager for online lotto operations of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), said no one won last Tuesday’s draw with the winning combination 30-07-26-17-25-40 and a jackpot of P114,727,662.
He said 100 lucky players got five digits of the winning combination and won the consolation prize of P56,000 each, while 4,883 got four digits and won P1,000 each.
“The estimated jackpot for this Thursday’s draw is P125 million or more,” he said.
Zabella said they expect heavy sales today with thousands of lotto fans falling in line at lotto terminals nationwide.
PCSO reports said that most of the players bet on number combinations that represent important events in their lives such as birthday, death anniversary, wedding anniversary and number of household members.
