Lotto pot reaches P80 million

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced that the jackpot of the Super Lotto 6/49 online lottery is expected to reach P80 million in today’s draw after nobody won last Tuesday night’s draw.

Larry Cedro, PCSO spokesman, said the winning combination of the last Super Lotto 6/49 draw of 25-03-20-22-23-38 was worth P73,794,661.20.

“Nobody hit the winning combination,” said Cedro.

He said one lucky bettor from Luzon, however, won the P14 million jackpot of the Regular 6/42 draw with the winning combination 01-22-05-28-32-29.

The 6/42 lotto and the six-digit game are drawn simultaneously with the Super Lotto on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

The Super Lotto, which has become the most popular game among lotto fans nationwide, has generated the biggest jackpots since the online lottery game was launched in 1995.

Last month, a 50-year-old employee from Caloocan City and a player from Pasig shared the P347-million jackpot prize. The lucky winner from Pasig has not yet claimed her or his prize.

The second biggest Super Lotto jackpot amounting to P249 million was won by a 61-year-old construction worker from Quezon City in July last year.
