Light rains in next 3 days - Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines - The eastern parts of the country will experience scattered rain showers in the next three days due to the diffused tail-end of a cold front, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said yesterday.

Pagasa weather forecaster Nonoy About said the eastern section of Northern Luzon would have mostly cloudy skies with light rains.

Mostly cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms would prevail over the eastern parts of Visayas and Mindanao, especially in the afternoons.

The rest of the country would be partly cloudy with isolated rain showers.

About said Filipinos would experience the hottest temperatures this summer season in April and early May. Daytime temperatures could reach as high as 35 to 36 degrees Celsius next month.

About said the hottest temperature so far this year was recorded in Cabanatuan City last Monday at 36.5 degrees Celsius. – Helen Flores
