Unioil cuts diesel prices by P3 per liter
MANILA, Philippines - Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc., one of the country’s small oil players, took the initiative yesterday to reduce the prices of fuel products at its retail stations.
Unioil general manager Luisito Medina-Cue Jr. said they started selling diesel at P23.99 per liter yesterday, a reduction of P3 per liter.
Cue said public utility drivers could avail of a lower price of P22.99 in Unioil’s “PUV Lanes.”
Unioil also brought down the prices of its unleaded gasoline, regular gasoline and premium gasoline by P1 per liter, with suggested retail prices of P31.69 for unleaded, P32.19 for premium and P31.41 for regular gasoline.
Unioil’s E10 (ethanol) gasoline was also reduced by 75 centavos per liter, to be sold at P31.44 per liter.
For AutoLPG, Unioil made a P3 reduction, effectively bringing down the price to P20.90 per liter.
The price of kerosene was also reduced by P1 per liter with the suggested retail price of P34.68.
Cue said the price rollback reflected the declining prices of refined petroleum products based on the Mean of Platts-Singapore (MOPS) benchmark average price per barrel.
