Santa dogs on mall prowl

-

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Bomb-sniffing dogs in Santa Claus attire will stand guard at shopping malls in Central Luzon until Jan. 4 next year.

Central Luzon police commander Chief Superintendent Leon Nilo de la Cruz said the dogs were trained to detect bombs for three months at Subic Bay Freeport.

The dogs’ handlers come from the Central Luzon police Regional Mobile Group, he added.

De la Cruz said the Santa dogs will be deployed at the SM Baliuag and Marilao for two days and then sent to SM City in Pampanga and Robinson Star Mills in the City of San Fernando.    – Ric Sapnu
