MANILA, Philippines – President Arroyo has named former Nueva Ecija lawmaker Renato Diaz to the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB).
Diaz, a member of the pro-administration the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats, is a presidential assistant for Northern Luzon.
Mrs. Arroyo also appointed two new officials of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
Emmanuel Mahipus, LTFRB National Capital Region director, was named the agency’s executive director, while Robert Albano was appointed LTFRB regional director.
The CAB and the LTFRB are attached agencies of the Department of Transportation and Communications.
Malacañang also announced the appointment of state prosecutor Geronimo Sy as assistant secretary at the Department of Justice.
At the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Raymundo Agravante was appointed regional director.
Bai Omera Dinalan-Lucman was named to the board of trustees of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), representing the women’s sector.
The OWWA is an attached agency of the DOLE. – Marvin Sy
