1,513 new physicians

MANILA, Philippines – One thousand five hundred thirteen out of 2,506 passed the Physician (Complete, Prelims and Finals with Prelims) Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medicine in the cities of Manila, Cebu and Davao this August, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday.

The results were released in three working days from the last day of examinations.

The successful examinees who garnered the 10 highest places were: Marlon Diaz Garcia, from the Far Eastern University–Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, with 88.75% rating; Dave Anthony Pasetes Diomampo, Saint Louis University, 88.17%; Gentry George Teng King, Universty of Sto. Tomas (UST), 87.42; Janice Jill Keng Lao, University of the Philippines-Manila, 87.42; Nemencio Reyes Ronquillo, UP-Manila, 87.17%;  Paolo Potato Villanueva, UST, 87.17%; Allan Louie Espino Cruz, UST, 86.92%; Philip Blanco Antiporta, UST, 86.58%; Ma. Cristina dela Cruz Briones, UST, 86.42%; Lemuel Benedict Robleza Non, UP-Manila, 86.17%; Sheila Jane Tan Zanoria, Cebu Institute of Medicine, 86.17%; Angela Sacayan Apostol, University of the East-Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, 86.08; Karel Ann Alipasa Espejo, UP-Manila, 86.08; Grace Ann Marian Nicolas, UST, 86.

The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees in the examination as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be held before the board on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008 at the Philippine International Convention Center.
