MANILA, Philippines – A total of 22 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from war-torn Georgia arrived in Turkey Monday night while the group of 34 Filipinos who first agreed to evacuate were expected to arrive in Istanbul last night, officials said yesterday.

In a report to Vice President and Presidential Adviser on OFWs Noli de Castro, Ambassador to Turkey Bahnarim Guinomla said the 22 OFWs arrived safely at the Turkish Black Sea port city of Trabzon by bus.

De Castro meanwhile said the 32 other workers from Hanil Construction and two more from Caucasus were traveling yesterday by bus and crossed the border of Georgia and Turkey.
