MANILA, Philippines – A lotto outlet in Novaliches, Quezon City has sold the winning ticket in Sunday’s P249-million jackpot prize of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office draw, a PCSO official said.
Conrado Zabella, PCSO on-line lotto general manager, said the winning combination 1-15-29-32-46-47, which offered a jackpot prize of P249,005,120.40, was sold to a player from Novaliches.
“The winner, who is a resident of Quezon City, has not yet claimed his or her prize. We are still waiting for the lucky winner,” Zabella said.
He clarified that the identity of the winner will not be made public for security reasons.
Zabella said this is the biggest jackpot prize for the year. Two Quezon City residents and several players from Mindanao shared the second biggest jackpot amounting to P133 million last January.
A lone winner bagged the 6/45 mega lotto P100-million jackpot in February.
Zabella said the winner would probably surface in a few days to claim the prize.
Sunday's lottery drew a big number of bettors as people lined up in malls and different outlets nationwide hoping to win the much-coveted prize. – Perseus Echeminada
