Bossi returns to parish

-

Four days after he was freed by his kidnappers from 40 days of captivity, Italian Giancarlo Bossi flew to Zamboanga Sibugay yesterday to return to his parish in Payao.

The 57-year old Catholic priest departed the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Centennial Terminal 2 via Philippine Airlines flight PR 125 shortly before 4 p.m.

Bossi, who was released in Lanao del Norte Thursday night after more than a month in captivity, was snatched by alleged members of a Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) faction on June 10.

A day after after he was freed, Bossi met President Arroyo in Malcañang, where the latter expressed happiness for his release.         – Michael Punongbayan
