Last month, the 2007 Board of Directors led by new president Judith Lopez were inducted. The board will implement professional programs that will include the Business Assurance Seminars-a four-level auditor’s training program, updates on accounting and auditing standards, tax updates, annual convention and similar professional development activities. These programs are attuned to the theme: Keeping the High Grade in a Very Challenging Practice Environment, and puts emphasis on imperatives for a wide resource of expertise and knowledge.
Established in 1981, ACPAPP is a non-stock, non-profit organization mandated to promote and maintain high professional standards of practice and ethical standards, and protect the interests of CPAs in public practice. Today, it has 200 institutional members (accounting firms) represented by 400 active individual members.
