Former Batangas Gov. Jose Antonio Leviste, who is being detained without bail for murder, was rushed to a hospital in Makati City last night due to low blood pressure.
In a telephone interview, Leviste’s lawyer Henry Capela said Leviste was taken to the Makati Medical Center at around 6 p.m. yesterday, but could not give further details about the condition of the ex-governor.
"All I can say is that he is still there" Capela said.
Reports from GMA-7 showed that Leviste was taken by jail guards of the Makati City Jail to the hospital after his blood pressure went down to 90 over 60.
