President Arroyo, in black, attended the necrological service at the Heritage Chapel to pay her last respects to the wife of Senior Associate Justice Reynato Puno.
The Mass was officiated by Reverend Menre Medillo and retired Bishop Emeritu Nakpil of the United Methodist Church.
Other known personalities like retired Chief Justice Hilario Davide also attended the affair meant "to salute the woman who served her country well."
Puno, who died on April 12 at the St. Lukes Medical Center in Quezon City, served at the SC as clerk of court for 12 long years.
She also served as the ex-officio secretary of the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC), chaired several committees, and involved herself in other activities at the SC.
Puno, 65, who worked in the judiciary for more than 35 years, succumbed to complications following heart surgery.
At noon after a two-hour Mass, her husband, children, other relatives, and friends brought her body to her final resting place.
Butterflies were freed as a symbol of resurrection to eternal life as Punos loved ones and those who loved her bid her body goodbye. Michael Punongbayan
