Palace press corps to get new workplace

-
The Malacañang Press Corps (MPC) will soon have a new workspace, one once used by their counterparts during the time of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos.

The planned move comes amid tightened security around the Palace perimeter, as protests continue against the Arroyo administration.

MPC president Ferdie Maglalang said Mrs. Arroyo revealed her plan to move the Palace media brigade out of Malacañang and back to the office assigned to them under Marcos during a lunch with executives of Radio Mindanao Network on Tuesday.

Maglalang said Ely Saludar, station manager of RMN and himself a former MPC president, informed him that the press working area would be at the first and second floor of the New Executive Building. — Aurea Calica
