The marriage of Marquez and Moreno, Vanessa Lacsamana in real life, was annulled after the Parañaque City court declared it null and void ab initio (from the start).
Lawyers Mac Anthony Antonio and Rene Richard Salazar said in a statement that "we have never presented evidence as to the alleged affair of Alma and Julian Say" as earlier reported by The STAR.
"We never presented any videotape of Alma and Julian Say kissing inside an elevator," they added. The STAR had reported that Marquez presented a videotape to the court showing Moreno and Say kissing inside an elevator of a hotel in Cebu.
In a decision issued Thursday, Parañaque City Judge Fortunito Madrona granted the petition for annulment Marquez filed two years ago on the grounds of both parties psychological incapacity. The couple married in Catholic rites on Dec. 17, 1994.
Madrona also granted Moreno full custody of their four children. The court ordered Marquez to provide his children with P200,000 in monthly financial support.
The titles of the couples property holdings and other absolute community property will be transferred to the names of the Marquez children, the court ordered.
