14 new PAF generals named

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) has 14 new brigadier generals while four senior officials were promoted to key general staff positions in a bid to intensify their drive against terrorist activities, PAF chief Lt. Gen. Nestor Santillan said yesterday.

Santillan identified the four new general staff officers as Maj. Gen. Neon Ebuen, who was promoted to deputy chief of staff for reservist and retiree affairs, new deputy chief of staff for plans Maj. Gen. Jose Reyes, new AFP Joint Command and Staff Colleges commandant Maj. Gen. Arcadio Seron and Maj. Gen. Ralph Flores, new commander of the Air Logistics and Support Command.

PAF public information officer Maj. Restituto Padilla, for his part, said the PAF’s new brigadier generals are 410th Maintenance Wing commander Brig. Gen. Edgar Calvo, 580th Aircraft Control Warning Wing commander Brig. Gen. Amador Alojado, 570th Composite Tactical Wing commander Brig. Gen. Edwin Gaizote, 520th Air Base Wing commander Brig. Gen. Edgar Elona, 2nd Tactical Operations Wing commander Brig. Gen. Vladimir Delos Trino, 1st Tactical Operations Wing commander Brig. Gen. Segundo Dimapilis, Chief of Air Staff Brig. Gen. Jaime Viernes Jr., 710th Special Operations Wing commander Brig. Gen. Romeo Alamillo, deputy Southern Luzon Command (SOLCOM) chief Brig. Gen. Exequiel Cruz, 5th Fighter Wing commander Brig. Gen. Christie Datu, assistant deputy chief of staff for operations Brig. Gen. Valentino Prudencio, 600th Air Base Wing commander Brig. Gen. Charles Hotchkiss, 15th Strike Wing commander Brig. Gen. Jose Nano and assistant deputy chief of staff for intelligence Brig. Gen. Marcelo Santos.
