RP, Brunei agree to conduct war games in April

The Philippines and Brunei will hold a week-long joint military exercise in April, Defense Secretary Angelo Reyes said yesterday.
Bruneis Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah yesterday toured the Philippine Military Academy in Baguio City, the countrys premier military training institution.
Bolkiah arrived Sunday for a four-day state visit to boost bilateral ties.
Reyes said the Philippine Navy will send three vessels to Brunei for the exercises, scheduled on April 7 to 14. The decision to hold the exercise was made in a meeting between Philippine and Brunei security officials early this month in Cebu.
The two countries will also enhance intelligence cooperation to combat terrorism, Reyes added. Artemio Dumlao<
