DLSU names 2 academic chairs after Cory, Ninoy

The De La Salle Professional Schools, Inc. Graduate School of Business will launch the Corazon Cojuangco-Aquino Distinguished Professorial Chair in Business Management and the Benigno S. Aquino Jr. Distinguished Professorial Chair in Corporate Social Responsibility and Governance on Jan. 23 at the DLSU Graduate School of Business campus at the RCBC Plaza, Makati City.
The professorial chairs will honor Mrs. Aquino and the late senators commitment to the role of private industry in nation building, ethical and good governance and give added recognition to their belief that the practice of management should ultimately result in the improvement of the human condition.
The Benigno S. Aquino Jr. professorial chair will serve as the focal point and inspiration for further research and perpetuate Aquinos efforts in promoting corporate social responsibility and good governance in his lifetime.
Philip Ella Juico, dean of the DLSU Graduate School of Business, will be the recipient of the Corazon Cojuangco-Aquino Distinguished Professorial Chair in Business Management.
The Jan. 23 event will also see the launching of the Federation of Catholic School Alumna/ae Associations (FECASAA), an organization of Catholic schools which will identify Catholic school alumna who occupy key positions of service and authority and provide them with values orientation and skills training.
The FECASAA has a present membership of 15, among them, DLSU, as one of its founding members, Ateneo de Manila University, University of Sto. Tomas, San Beda College, Assumption College, St. Scholasticas College, St. Theresas College Quezon City, and St. Pauls College Quezon City.
