I’m no sex symbol — Angara

- Antonieta Lopez -
BACOLOD CITY — Only sexy senators wanted.

Sen. Edgardo Angara said he was not sexy enough to merit an invitation to join a sex cult based in this city that has been spreading the "Espedeject Ideology."

"I have not received an invitation, so I feel snubbed," Angara jokingly told reporters here Thursday. "Maybe he does not see me as a sex symbol."

The senator was referring to photographer Leonardo Erobas, founder of the self-styled sex-bomb ideology, who gained the ire of at least four senators who had received letters of invitation to join the Espedeject cult, with accompanying photographs showing Erobas having sex with apparent minors.

The photos also showed the cult leader in various poses in the nude with children as they sniffed rugby, and the letter suggested that the senators could join the cult in exchange for free sex with the minors.

Senators Rodolfo Biazon, Noli de Castro, Robert Jaworski and Loren Legarda each expressed disgust at Erobas’ letter of invitation, and have forwarded the letter and pictures to the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the National Bureau of Investigation "for appropriate action."

Angara called Erobas "insane." Legarda seconded the motion.

Erobas was invited for questioning but was not taken into custody by police because there was no complaint when the case was first brought to their attention.

Bacolod PNP deputy director Rene Aspera yesterday assured that Erobas has not gone into hiding. The photographer can still be seen roaming the town plaza, he said.

Aspera said he has been instructed by the City Legal Office to facilitate the gathering of affidavits of those minors identified in the lewd photographs. This is in coordination with the Department of Social Welfare and Development, he added.

In his letter written in Ilonggo, Erobas invited the four senators to join his cult and spread the Espedeject Ideology all the way to the United Nations.

He further described himself as "the Trampocol Man," a new term which he said was "above genius."

Erobas enlisted the senators’ help to find persons who could translate Ilonggo into different languages, the better to spread the sex-bomb way of life.

Espedeject members reportedly swore that their leader’s seed was miraculous and a cure-all, and that whoever tasted it would live up to 1,000 years old.

It was yet unclear why he chose those four particular senators for his mission. The senators, meanwhile, want Erobas investigated for him to reveal if any prominent persons have joined his cult and who bankrolls it.
