Mike A. warns vs fake government consultant

-
First Gentleman Mike Arroyo yesterday warned the public against a man claiming to be the government representative in the lease or sale of a Philippine government property in Japan through his blessings.

Arroyo said he has nothing to do with the property and has not authorized anybody to act as his agent in any transaction pertaining to the property in Fujimi Chome, Chiyoda-Kadan, Tokyo.

He asked the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to immediately arrest the impostor, who identified himself as presidential consultant Anthony Deslate V.

Arroyo said he has received copies of a letter of Deslate to one Nozaki Tadashi of Tokyo wherein the impostor asked for P3 million from the Japanese for the lease or sale of the property.

Deslate boasted that he has been appointed officer-in-charge for the transaction through Mr. Arroyo, with whom he claimed to be very close to.

"I do not know Deslate. I do not know of any transaction for any government property and do not intend to meddle in any. I appeal to the PNP and the NBI to immediately arrest and charge this impostor.

"I also reiterated my appeal to the public to immediately report to the authorities anybody who will use my name in any government or private deal," Arroyo stressed.

Deputy Executive Secretary Susana Vargas said there is no presidential consultant named Anthony Deslate V. She added that the position of consultant to the President of the Philippines for Asian Affairs is also bogus. PNA
