Consul General to Australia Libran Cabactulan said yesterday the young Gonzales was indicted for stabbing dead his parents Teodoro, 46, and Loiva, 43, and his sister Claudine, 18, at their home in the suburb of North Ryde, Sydney. He is now detained at the Long Bay Remand Center there.
"They (police) have closed all the holes in the case. They are now preparing their guns for the hearing. Although the evidence is circumstantial, it is very strong," Cabactulan said.
Circumstantial evidence against the 21-year-old New South Wales University law student will be presented by police during the arraignment in the absence of witnesses to the murders, Cabactulan added.
According to case investigators, "the circumstantial evidence should tie all the loose ends (of the case together) to convict him," Cabactulan said.
Case investigators have not disclosed the motive behind the killings. Pia Lee-Brago
