"I dare Engaño to file charges against me in the proper courts, instead of merely mouthing baseless and fabricated accusations of my alleged illegal activities at the BJMP, then well see whos telling the truth," Assistant Regional Director Senior Superintendent Vicente Encarnacion said.
He added that while he and other officers of the BJMP decided to bring their issues against Engaño to the courts for proper juridical dispensation, the latter continues to employ publicity stunts to vilify them.
"Engaño claims that I am manipulating those wardens against him. Hes even concocted lies that I am under investigation for mishandling funds myself, and that the others are facing administrative sanctions. If he truly believes he has a case against us, then I challenge him to sue us so we both can have our day in court. He is a lawyer anyway. Otherwise, he should shut up and respect the course of law," the Encarnacion said.
He even alluded that it was Engaño who started the word war at the BJMP in his persistent attempt to be named at the top post of the bureau, this despite rulings from the Civil Service Committee, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), and the Quezon City Court that he does not have the minimum qualifications that of being a chief superintendent for at least a year prior to assumption and being a career executive service Officer (CESO) of level three position.
"The jail officers and I are ready to testify and swear on our words at the courts so that the truth will come out and people would know Engaño for what he is," Encarnacion said.
