Soliven leads Rotary International District Assembly

Star chairman and publisher Max Soliven will be the guest of honor at the Rotary International District 3790’s annual District Assembly on May 25-26 at the Crown Peak Hotel, SBMA, Olongapo City. Hosted by the Rotary Clubs of Olongapo and Zambales and spearheaded by District 3790 Governor-elect Marquez Go, the two-day affair will be highlighted by the participation of more than 500 Rotary officers and members from the 83 clubs within the District and some important guests led by Soliven. Soliven will tackle issues on Rotary and the Philippines, specifically its prospects and challenges. Other notable speakers include Edicio dela Torre, former director general of TESDA; RI District 3830 past district governor (PDG) Willie Segovia, District 3780 PDG Melito Salazar, District 3780 PDG Jesus Lindayag and Extra Mile Training Consultancy managing director Arnold Anog. Go will deliver his welcome address that will focus on the leadership challenge of Rotary. He will also lead the entire group to the occasion. The event will be comprised of several sessions punctuated by panel discussions and open forums. Prizes for golf tournament winners and fellowships among Rotarians and guests are also added attractions. District Assembly 2001 is the second series of training programs to be conducted by District 3790 for the Rotary Year 2001-2002. Its objective is to train Rotary leaders in managing Rotary clubs so as to effectively pursue Rotary’s ideal of service.
Rotary International District 3790 includes Rotary Club from the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, La Union, Benguet, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bataan and Zambales.
