The Department of Justice recommended yesterday the indictment of four officials of a Japanese-owned importing firm held responsible for the shipment of 122 container vans of toxic wastes from Japan last November.
Recommended charged for violation of Republic Act 6969, or the Toxic Substances and Hazardous and Nuclear Wastes Act, were Faith Mizaguchi, and Josie, Henry and Dangal Achoy, all board directors of Sinsei Corp.
The DOJ panel that conducted the probe, based on a complaint from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, recommended P40,000 bail for each of the respondents.
