On-Line Bingo Pilipino welcomes the new millennium with a bang as it produced three multi-millionaires in a row for two consecutive nights. Two all pattern ticket holders shared the jackpot prize worth P12 million on game 7 of Jan. 14 while a lone ticket holder won the jackpot prize worth P1.8 million on game 8 the next day.
Barely 24 hours after confirming that she had won P6 million together with another one from Ozamis City, Judith Nicolas (not her real name) of Bacolod City immediately packed her bag and flew to Manila together with her husband.
Nicolas shares that it was her husband who is the avid player of bingo. The night before she won, her husband thought that he won P100. It turned out that her husband used the game 8 ticket in game 7 thus declaring him non-winner. Disappointed with what happened, she bought tickets worth P100 and played it herself.
The P1.8 million winner from Quezon Province had more or less the same story. The only difference is she won P100 the night before she won the jackpot. This gave her the chance to purchase more tickets for game 8 on Jan. 15.
Paz Magboo (not her real name) shouted with joy when the last ball was called, sure that she won P50 thousand. Nobody won in the sandwich frame as announced on TV but somebody won the jackpot prize. She checked her ticket and realized that she hasn't marked two numbers. She compared it again with the winning numbers she had jotted down in another piece of paper. She was the jackpot prize winner and she was speechless.
The P6 million winner from Ozamis City took him seven days to claim his prize. No, he did not walk all the way to Manila from the sleepy province of Misamis Occidental. He still has to borrow money so he can purchase a plane ticket.
"I had been working as a salesman for 24 years already but my earnings are not enough to send all my children to college. I am very fortunate. Now, I do not have to worry for my children's tuition fee," confessed Socrates de Guzman (not his real name).
Best World Gaming and Entertainment Corp. (BWGEC) vice president for marketing Victor Romano says, "As we usher in the new millennium, we welcome these three fortunate winners into our growing list of Bingonaryos, lives that have changed through On-Line Bingo Pilipino. This list shall grow bigger and better in the years to come."
