Philippine employment situation
Jobless rate in January settled at 4.8% year-on-year. This was lower compared to the same period last year (6.4%).

Unemployment amounted to 4.3% in December 2022. This was higher than the 4.2% outturn in the preceding month.

Unemployment in June this year stands at 6%, equivalent to 2.99 million Filipinos, much like the May figures. This is lower than a year ago.

President Duterte signs the law establishing the Department of Migrant Workers, which had certified as urgent in March.
The new act merges the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration and the Overseas Workers Welfare Association.
The Philippine Statistics Authority reports that there were 3.50 million people who were either unemployed or out of business in October, translating to a jobless rate of 7.4%, lower than 8.9% rate in September. — Ian Nicolas Cigaral
