Shooting of Kim Chiu's van
ABS-CBN says it condemns the shooting incident involving actress Kim Chiu's van, which put her, her personal assistant, and her driver in danger.
"The network is relieved that none of them get hurt and is taking measures to ensure their safety," the network says. "Our priority now is attending to their needs as they cope with this traumatic experience."
ABS-CBN says it is working with authorities in their investigation into the incident.
Local celebrities wish Kim Chiu well after hearing about the shooting incident.
“Kimmy! So glad that you and your team are ok. God is great at binaba mo ang script at humiga ka! Love and light to you my dear!” says Iza Calzado on Chiu's Instagram post.
“Kimmy thank goodness you are okay,” says actress-beauty queen Megan Young.
Actress Kim Chiu confirms that she figured in a shooting incident Wednesday morning, assuring her fans and loved ones that she is safe.
"A lot of you have been texting and calling. can’t answer right now. Thank you for checking on me," writes Chiu in an Instagram post.
"Means a lot. Yes I am safe po. I’m ok and my P.A. And my driver as well," she adds.
Reports say two unidentified gunmen on board a motorcycle shot the vehicle of actress Kim Chiu in Quezon City Wednesday morning.
Chiu and her companions inside the van were unharmed. They were reportedly on their way for a taping.
The shooting incident occurred at the corner of Katipunan and CP Garcia avenues in Diliman.
