Controversies surrounding Tulfos
June 11, 2019

Erwin Tulfo's camp already got in touch with the Philippine National Police's Firearms and Explosives Office to renew his firearms license, Colonel Bernard Banac, who is acting chief of the PNP Public Information Office, says.

But the newsreader has yet to voluntarily surrender firearms registered under his name. The PNP says that if no action is seen from Tulfo, they will implement "Oplan Katok" where they visit the home of gun owners whose licenses expired to remind them about the surrender of the firearms.

"Pag di pa rin ang pinaka police action ay yung pag-aapply na ng search warant para masamsam ang baril," Banac says.
