Larry Gadon on potential disbarment
June 28, 2023

Supreme Court unanimously disbars Larry Gadon, defeated senatorial candidate and newly-appointed Presidential Adviser on Poverty Alleviation over “misogynistic, sexist, abusive and repeated intemperate language.“

The SC en banc voted 15-0 to disbar Gadon over a profanity-laced rant directed at journalist Raissa Robles captured in viral video clip. The SC Public Information Office said the high court found the video clip as "indisputably scandalous that it discredits the legal profession." — Kristine Joy Patag

(First published 8:50 a.m.) Lawyer Larry Gadon, who filed the impeachment complaint against Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, says he does not regret his cursing and raising of the middle finger against supporters of the chief magistrate.

He says he doesn't think his action is unbecoming of a lawyer.and is even contemplating of disbarring himself.

"I was thinking of filing a petition in the Supreme Court to disbar me. If this bar thing is the only thing that will constrain me from getting back at them then I'd rather lose my license."

"I cannot allow myself to be insulted. And not only that, they were [also] insulting the Supreme Court, justices and even President Duterte."

Gadon had repeatedly called Sereno's supporters as “stupid” when he encountered them at the high court’s Baguio compound hours before the oral arguments on a separate ouster petition filed by Solicitor General Jose Calida against the chief justice.

He also called someone a “son of a b****” in response to being called “stupid.”
