The number of affected persons due to Typhoon Neneng has risen to 181,185 o 51,870 families in the Ilocos and Cagayan Valley Regions, and Cordillera Administrative Region, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reports.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reports that agriculture damage due to Typhoon Neneng has ballooned to P366 million, while infrastructure damage remains at estimated worth of P81.555 million.
The number of affected population has also risen to 175,275 persons or 50,248 families in three regions.
Typhoon Neneng has affected 103,662 persons or 29,554 families, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reports.
The council also logged two reportedly injured persons.
It also says it recorded P7.68 million agriculture damage and P81.555 million damage in infrastructure.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council reports that Typhoon Neneng has affected 7,519 families or 27,914 persons in Ilocos and Cagayan Valley Regions, and the Cordillera Administrative Regions.
A total of 22 localities reported power interruption and so far electricity has been restored in six of the cities/towns.
The NDRRMC also says 1,192 families or 3,769 individuals were pre-emptively evacuated in two regions.
So far, the government has provided P436,098 in assistance to affected communities in CAR.
PAGASA says Neneng intensifies into a tropical storm while it accelerates westward over the Philippine Sea easy of extreme northern Luzon.
As of 4 p.m. Saturday, the center of Neneng was spotted 255 kilometers east southeast of Calayan, Cagayan or 230 km east of Aparri, Cagayan.
Moving westward at 30 kilometers per hour, Neneng has maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph.
The following areas are under Signal No. 2: Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Apayao, the northern portion of Abra (Tineg, Lacub, Lagayan) and Ilocos Norte.
PAGASA says Tropical Depression Neneng is now moving west northwestward over the Philippine Sea.
Based on the 11 a.m. severe weather bulletin, the eye of Neneng was located 510 kilometers east of Calayan, Cagayan.
Moving west northwestward at 15 kilometers per hour, it has maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 70 kph.

Tropical Depression Neneng continues to move west southwestward over the Philippine Sea.
As of 4 a.m. Saturday, its center of the eye was spotted 575 kilometers east of Calayan, Cagayan.
Moving west southwestward at 15 kilometers per hour, it has maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 70 kph.
The following areas are under Signal No. 1: Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, the northern and eastern portions of Apayao (Luna, Santa Marcela, Flora, Pudtol, Calanasan), the extreme northern portion of Isabela (Santa Maria, San Pablo, Maconacon), and the northern portion of Ilocos Norte (Pagudpud, Bangui, Burgos, Pasuquin, Vintar, Dumalneg, Adams).
