Typhoon Inday accelerates as it continues to move north northwestward and is about to leave the Philippine area of responsibility, state weather bureau PAGASA says.
In its 5:00 p.m. bulletin, the center of the eye of Typhoon Inday was estimated at 500 km north northeast of Itbayat, Batanes.
State weather bureau PAGASA says in its 11:00 a.m. bulletin that Typhoon Inday further weakens as it moves closer to Ishigaki Island of Southern Japan.
It was last located at 465 km North Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes, the bulletin reads.
State weather bureau PAGASA says in its 5:00 p.m. bulletin that Typhoon Inday intensified further and decelerated while moving over the Philippine sea.
“Under the influence of Typhoon INDAY, a Gale Warning is in effect for the northern seaboards of Northern Luzon. For more information, refer to Gale Warning #1 issued at 5:00 PM today,” PAGASA adds.
The center of the eye of the typhoon was last located 395 km east of Itbayat, Batanes.
Severe Tropical Storm Inday has intensified into Typhoon category as it continues to move northwestward over the Philippine sea of extreme Northern Luzon, state weather bureau PAGASA says in its 11:00 a.m. bulletin.
It also says that while Typhoon Inday remains less likely to bring heavy rains in the country, its trough may bring heavy rainshowers during thunderstorms over the eastern section of Southern Luzon and western portion of Central Luzon.
“This tropical cyclone may enhance the Southwest Monsoon which may bring rains over the western sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas,” PAGASA adds.
Severe Tropical Storm Inday continues to intensify as it moves northwestward over the Philippine sea, state weather bureau PAGASA says.
In its 5:00 p.m. bulletin, ‘Inday’ was last seen at 720 km east of Aparri, Cagayan or 730 km east of Calayan, Cagayan, as it packs maximum sustained winds of 100kph near the center.
“Aside from rain showers caused by its trough, Severe Tropical Storm INDAY remains less likely to bring heavy rains in the country throughout the forecast period,” the bulletin reads.
It adds: “The latest forecast scenario for INDAY shows that the hoisting of Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals over any land area in the country remains unlikely.”

In its 11 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA says however that “[a]side from rain showers caused by its trough, Severe Tropical Storm INDAY remains less likely to bring heavy rains in the country throughout the forecast period.”
Tropical Storm Inday accelerates as it continues on its path westward, over the Philippine sea, east of northern Luzon, state weather bureau PAGASA says.
In its 11:00 a.m. bulletin, it says Inday was located at 1,130 km east of Central Luzon or 1,165 km east of Northern Luzon.
State weather bureau PAGASA says Tropical Storm Inday entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility at 7:00 p.m. of September 7.
In its 5:00 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA says ‘Inday’ maintains strength while moving westward over the Philippine sea. It was last located at 1,215 km East of Cental Luzon.
No tropical cyclone wind signal is hoisted in any part of the country.
