As part of the top 40, Miss Philippines Tracy Maureen Perez introduced herself as a model, Industrial Engineer and host. She opted for a glittery navy blue gown by United Arab Emirates-based Filipino designer Harvey Cenit.

From 98 contestants, the top 40 finalists were determined through a month-long, five fast-track challenges. 

Miss World Mongolia 2021 Burte-Ujin Anu showcases her talent that made her win Best in Talent.

Peter Andre returns as host for a second time with Fernando Allende. They said this year's 70th edition of the pageant harks back to its origins in London in 1951, which is marked at this year's coronation night with a 70-piece Puerto Rico Philharmonic Orchestra that pays homage to the big band era.

Miss World 2021 starts with an opening production number, with candidates in national costumes, dancing a Latin dance to showcase Puerto Rican culture.

Tracy, winner of Beauty with a Purpose and Head to Head challenges, joins 39 other candidates that make up the top 40 – consisting of 25 chosen by the judges and 15 fast track winners. Will Tracy win the Philippines' second Miss World crown?
