Cagayan de Oro and Bacolod courts confirm arrest warrants for Emily Yanson, a billionaire from Bacolod and executive of the Yanson Group of Bus Companies, for alleged perjury and falsification of public documents. She is reportedly outside the country.

Yanson allegedly manipulated financial statements and the general information sheet of transport companies Rural Transit Mindanao Inc. and Bachelor Express Inc.

"The making of untruthful statement in falsification and perjury is the actus reus or the guilty act which is the basis of the said crimes,” the Municipal Trial Court Branch 7 of Bacolod City says in its resolution.

She and her siblings, Roy, Celina Lopez and Ricky, also face warrants of arrest for alleged grave coercion and carnapping in connection with the alleged illegal takeover of the management of Vallacar Transit Inc. from incumbent president Leo Rey Yanson and co-founder, corporate secretary and treasurer Olivia Yanson in July 2019.
