Opinion

The first anti-Christ

LETTER TO THE EDITOR - The Freeman

I have been exploring the Bible for over 38 years now.  From Genesis to Revelation I have been reading from page to page, and back again.  I used the logic of a ten year old boy.  This is among the things I learned.  The most stupid statement ever written by an apostle is this:

“If Christ has not been raised from death, then we have nothing to preach and you have nothing to believe.”  (1 Corinthians 15:14)

Paul must have said this with a logic of retarded boy.  This showed how shallow or narrow his mind was.  This showed that he did not believe in God the Father nor the Holy Spirit.  And worst, he had no admiration for Jesus Christ himself.

Granting that Jesus was not crucified, did not die and was not raised to life, he is still the son of God. And was a good man at that.  He had taught good manners and right conduct, to say the least.  He could still be a role model.

People emulate great men in history like Abraham Lincoln, Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr., among others.  Jesus Christ was still a great man even if he was not sacrificed by God the Father for the love of mankind.

So, Paul seemed retarded in stating what he said in letter to the Corinthians.  He was not really converted to Christ’s fold.  His conversion was a fake and a pretense.  Because, after that, he still preached doctrines contrary to Jesus’ teachings.  He was the first Antichrist.
