Marriott Cafe revamps Sunday brunch with Boston lobsters and French oysters

Chuck Smith - The Philippine Star
MANILA, Philippines – The Marriott Cafe at the Marriott Hotel Manila has revamped its Sunday brunch buffet with a mindful focus on quality instead of quantity, the hotel's general manager Bruce Winton said.

“Not too many folks are offering the quality. There's a lot of big buffets and a lot of quantity. But at the end of the day, when you take your plate back to the table, when you sit down, what does the food taste? What's the quality?” Winton told members of the press. “That's the primary focus of Marriott at the moment. We focus on quality products.”

For their revamped Sunday buffet, Marriott Cafe offers two new dishes: Boston lobsters and Fine de Claire oysters. The lobsters and oysters are available at the Marriott Cafe only for their Sunday brunch.

Both are imported from France weekly to make sure they remain fresh when served every Sunday, Winton said.

Marriott Cafe's Sunday brunch buffet also offers lamb, US rib eye, and roasted turkey at their carving station. Marriott Hotel's Cru Steakhouse, which is open for Sunday brunch buffet diners, also offer foie gras and steaks. They also have a martini station open for Sunday brunch.
