Amici: Something new, something Italian at Technohub

Cereb Gregorio - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines -The Italian restaurant you’ve grown to love over the years ended 2012 on a high note with the opening of their eighth branch at the UP-Ayala Technohub recently.

Amici’s newest location brings authentic Italian pizza and pasta dishes — plus the entrees they have come to be known for — to the throngs of students and office-goers from surrounding universities and nearby offices in Quezon City. On top of that, they’ve done well in creating the perfect ambience for guests of all ages.

The light interiors and comfy atmosphere seem tailor-made for the younger patrons they expect to serve at their latest branch. “We want to keep Amici’s casual, homey feeling, but we also gave the place a younger vibe,” says Philip Moran, general manager. “We have booth seats and brighter colors. It’s traditional and cozy, but with a modern twist.”

Of course, the restaurant still succeeds in keeping the warm, family-friendly environment that makes it a favorite for long lunches and Sunday dinners.

At Amici Technohub, both families and groups of friends are welcome. With portions meant for sharing and Below Zero beer available exclusively at this spot, this authentic Italian resto has all you need for a fun night out — including numerous gelato flavors and gelato cakes from their in-house gelato and dessert line, Cara Mia.  And Moran announces that there’s more to look forward to.

“We launch a new menu twice a year, so there’ll be new dishes to expect on different occasions,” he explains. “We also like having performers and special events every now and then to stir things up and keep it exciting. We are also working on a new cocktails menu that we will be launching soon to complement our beer and wine list.”

Moran adds that they have many other exciting things planned for Amici this year. “It’ll be a very dynamic and exciting year for Amici so our customers truly have much to look forward to from us.”

From watching rousing performances while kicking back a cold bottle of beer to acing a round of trivia questions during quiz night, Amici plans to make every Italian dining experience more pleasant and memorable than the last.
