"Taos puso at walang hanggang pasasalamat, GMA Network! Proud to be Kapuso for 9 years now," he added in an Instagram story.
In a recent exclusive interview with Philstar.com for the launch of his first co-designed fashion line Avel x Alden, Alden said he is just a simple person when it comes to fashion and “Alden fashion” means comfort.
He described his fashion style, saying that being a celebrity does not automatically mean catching up with the latest fashion trends.
“Being a public figure, parang all eyes are on you, eh. Ano ang suot mo, anong itsura ng buhok mo, how fair is your skin, how flawless you are, etc, etc. So fashion sometimes, ako personally talaga, simpleng tao lang ako. I don't really go for trends, di ako nakikisunod sa uso because for me, fashion is comfort. That's Alden eh. That's myself,” the "Eat Bulaga" host said.
"Pero siyempre minsan, being here in the industry, kahit paano nagco-cope ka, so in a way, I mix my own style to the current style. So far, very pleasing to the eye naman. Fashion for me is personal. Everyone has their own sense of fashion, but for me, it's really how you feel about yourself. You wear the clothes that make you comfortable, confident, and 'yung kaya mong dalhin,” he added.
When asked for fashion tips, Alden said fashion depends on the person. For him, being original is enough.
“It's really up to that person e. It's never the call of anyone. Kung ikaw magpapakain ka sa mga comments ng tao na 'Ang baduy mo naman manamit;' it’s really up to you eh. If you’re wearing something that's you and you're comfortable, why change?” he said.
“Bakit mo gustong sumabay? For public approval? Meron kasing tao na mga ganon eh. The comment of other people are more important that theirs. So (kung) ako lang, be original, be yourself!" — Videos by Kat Leandicho
