Dashing Diva Nails

I am one of those who sports a less-than-fabulous set of nails. Short, that is because I bite them occasionally. My dream is to have them long, but acrylic nails are quite expensive. Thankfully now, there is Virtual Nails from Dashing Diva. This New York-based salon is the ultimate in nail spa experience.

Nina Montelibano, marketing manager of Beauty Bar, made me try Virtual Nails and the Basic Pedicure that comes with a sugar scrub. Dig this, the clear, full-cover Virtual Nails come in sizes and curvatures. Joy, my nail specialist, first measured my nails and glued them with a nail bond. Then she painted it with a French manicure.

At first it took a while for me to adjust to my long nails. Eventually, I got the hang of it and my hands never looked so sexy. The great thing about it is that the Virtual Nails are really strong. And oh, they last for two weeks. To remove them, I had to go back to Dashing Diva and soak my hands in their Magic Melt solution (a special combination of acetone and lanolin). I am back to my short nails but I will definitely go virtual again.
