Ravena ‘di isinasara ang pintuan para sa isang PBA comeback
MANILA, Philippines — Kung mabibigyan muli ng pagkakataon ay babalik si dating NLEX point guard Kiefer Ravena sa PBA.
“Most definitely. I’m not gonna lie that I think about home, I think about the PBA,” wika ni Ravena sa panayam ng ‘Power & Play’ program.
Ngunit mas gustong sundin ni Ravena ang asawang si beauty queen Diane Mackey.
“Obviously, my marriage is a big part of the decision whether or not we try to settle down back home or try it out for a couple of more years here,” dagdag ng 31-anyos na No. 2 overall pick ng Road Warriors noong 2017 PBA Draft.
Naglalaro si Ravena sa Japan B.League sa ikaapat na sunod na taon.
Una siyang sumalang sa B.League para sa Shiga Lakes bilang import noong 2017 hanggang 2021.
Kasalukuyan niyang suot ang uniporme ng Yokohama B-Corsairs.
Naglista ang 6-foot-1 playmaker ng mga averages na 9.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, at 3.3 assists sa 32 games para sa B-Corsairs.
Nagdadala ang Yokohama team ng 12-20 kartada sa B.League.
“We’ll see. I still have this season to finish and see where it goes ‘di ba?” dagdag ni Ravena.
Una siyang hindi pinayagan ng NLEX na umalis at maglaro sa B.League.
Ngunit sa huli ay pinakawalan din siya ng Road Warriors ni dating coach Yeng Guiao.
“To be honest, I really owe a lot to NLEX. Kasi kung hindi naman nila ako pinayagan in the first place, I wouldn’t be here. So it’s just right for me to give back to the team that allowed me to go to greener pastures and help them get back to the winning ways,” wika ng two-time UAAP champion guard ng Ateneo Blue Eagles.
