'Nahihiya ako!': Bruno Mars teases Philippine fans
MANILA, Philippines — In case he isn't one yet, award-winning Filipino-American singer Bruno Mars is well on his way to becoming a sex symbol.
Bruno has several sensual and erotic songs in his discography, like "Gorillas," "Versace on the Floor" and "Please Me," the latter two of which were on the setlist for his concert at the Philippine Arena yesterday, June 24. He is again set to delight the Philippine crowd tonight at the same venue.
Towards the end of his first night in his fourth Philippine concert, Bruno sang a medley of hits he was involved in: "F**k You" by CeeLo Green, "Young, Wild & Free" by Wiz Khalifa, "Grenade" where he asked for more dramatic smoke, "Talking to the Moon," "Nothin' On You" by B.o.B. and Silk Sonic's "Leave the Door Open."
During "Leave the Door Open," Bruno teasingly said he had a "fantasy" about Filipino girls shouting that they were coming for him — a blatant innuendo that had everyone screaming.
He continued to tease during the song's final line in the chorus, "Tell me that you're coming through," only to remind everyone again of his "fantasy."
"I'm shy. Nahihiya ako!" Bruno exclaimed to end his medley, which only had the crowd chanting his name repeatedly.
While he was in teasing mode last night, Bruno also performed some of his more family-friendly songs like "Treasure," "Marry You," "When I Was Your Man" and "Just The Way You Are."
Other tracks he sang included songs off the album "24K Magic" like "Finesse," "That's What I Like" and "Calling All My Lovelies," "Runaway Baby," "Locked Out of Heaven" and "Uptown Funk."
