Katy Perry is teaming up with popular Japanese media franchise Pokémon for its 25th anniversary.

News came out last January 13 that the singer, who dazzled in an all-white ensemble during President Joe Biden's inauguration concert this week, is working on a music program with the brand.
"Where u were directly affects where u are now... Meaning... I can’t believe I used to trade my POGS for @Pokemon cards at lunch in jr high & now I get to be part of the #pokemon25 celebration... let’s just say I’m feelin pretty??electric??bout it," tweeted the "American Idol" judge on January 13.
It also had Pokemon clip that features Katy singing "electric" at the end.
Pokemon shared on its website: "Of course, every party needs a great playlist, and to that end, Pokémon is teaming up with Universal Music Group and some of the biggest names in music to create a global music celebration dubbed P25 Music. Expect new songs from a wide range of musicians, featuring rising artists and award-winning superstars like pop icon Katy Perry. More details, including additional performer surprises, will be announced throughout the year."
Perry said in her interview with People.com that she had been going to Japan and loves the country. She also shared that she's "really attached to the hero" and she finds Pikachu "to be really cute."
