Preparations at full blast for Alex Gonzaga’s ‘unexpected’ concert

Alex Gonzaga expects some criticisms against her upcoming concert.

MANILA, Philippines — Preparations are underway for Alex Gonzaga's first solo concert "AG from the East: The Unexpected Concert" to be held in Smart-Araneta Coliseum on April 25, 2015.

A first in her career, the concert will showcase Gonzaga's singing and comic prowess as well as her attitude that life should be full of happiness.

In the event, Alex Gonzaga is expected to show how, with her comical façade, she aspired to become a symbol hope of and an ambassador for the youth.

Gonzaga said her idea of the concert is for fans to really "expect the unexpected."

"Opening pa lang namin, it's very unexpected and it might raise eyebrows, not only in Philippine show business but in the Philippine government, I am telling you," Gonzaga said laughing in an interview.

Expected to grace the show are Luis Manzano, Maja Salvador, Matteo Guidicelli, her sister, Toni Gonzaga, and other surprise guests.

Alex admitted that while she looks forward to the concert, she can't help but be a tad uneasy.

"I totally feel nervous about the concert, but I will raise everything to God," Alex replied.

"Alam ninyo naman, ako ay isang alagad ako ng sining. Kung anong hinihingi ng sining, ibibigay ko," she added.

Catch the TV host, author and singer Alex Gonzaga rise from the east and take center stage in her "unexpected" summer concert this April 25.
