MANILA, Philippines- Christina Grimmie is in Manila for two days!
The YouTube sensation turned "The Voice US" Season 6 finalist visits Asia for the first time, and chose Philippines as her first stop.
"I know that I have a lot of followers from the Philippines," Christina said during a press conference on Friday.
"When I posted in my Twitter account that I'm coming to Manila, I got a lot of retweets and favorites. That is new for me!"
This is no surprise since aside from her beautiful voice, Christina was mentored by one of the popular artists today, Adam Lavine.
"Adam is honestly one of my favorite people in the world," she said about her coach. "He made sure we both know what I'm going to do on stage. He's just simply nurturing."
She also admired her coach's humbleness.
"I don't know what I'm going in to, I don't know if he's going to be a diva, but no. He's one of the people who will have a conversation with you at the sidewalk."
When asked if she didn't get intimidated with Adam, the 20-year-old Canadian singer replied: "He's very attractive, but I was so focused with what I will learn from this guy."
Christina will be in Manila for two days to promote her newest single "Must Be Love."
Catch her live on October 4 at the Alabang Town Center, 4 p.m., Glorietta, 7 p.m.; and on October 5 at TriNoMa 7 p.m.
