The xx to stage Manila concert

MANILA, Philippines – English pop band The xx will be coming to the Philippines for the first time to hold a concert next month.

According to The xx’s tour website, the award-winning band will stage a concert on July 30 at the NBC tent in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

Ticket details have not been announced as of posting time.

The band’s credentials include winning the Barclaycard Mercury Prize in September 2010 for their self-titled debut album, which was also named best British and Irish album of the year.

This April, The xx released their newest track “Together,” which is part of the official soundtrack of the film “The Great Gatsby.”
