MANILA, Philippines — Jun Lana's controversial film "Your Mother’s Son" is set for its Philippine premiere at the EnlighTEN: The IdeaFirst Film Festival.
The film stars Kokoy de Santos, Sue Prado, Elora Españo and Miggy Jimenez.
“Your Mother’s Son” is a chamber drama about a family that supported Duterte’s rise to power," Lana said.
"I wanted to tell their story as a reflection of the current state of Philippine society plagued by metastasizing corruption that has blurred the lines between right and wrong, humans and monsters," he added.
The IdeaFirst Company will celebrate a decade of bringing extraordinary stories to light through a film festival that will be held at the Gateway Cineplex 18 on April 12 to 14.
The film festival will be showcasing some of The IdeaFirst Company’s most thought-provoking, multi-awarded, and internationally-recognized films.
It will also include “Behind the Idea” Q&A sessions, Jun Robles Lana masterclasses, including directors and writers roundtable discussions.
