Short films from International Film Festival Manhattan streaming on iWantTFC

IFFM

MANILA, Philippines — The International Film Festival Manhattan (IFFM), with Filipino-American Luis Pedron as its Festival Director this 2023, is a cool film festival for short films held annually in New York City's Manhattan in the United States.

Now on its 13th year, IFFM was physically held from October 12 to 15 where quality short films from around the globe were screened at several theater venues in Manhattan.

The IFFM's short film programming encompasses different genres of a diverse program — documentaries, student films, and now professional films from all over the world, focusing on themes with social relevance.

For the first time this year 2023, selected IFFM short film entries will now be screened online with accessible tickets exclusively available via iWantTFC, an effort by Rems Entertainment Productions owned by Gabby Ramos.

Ramos, who is also a film director, was thrilled and thankful his production company got the partnership deal with iWantTFC to exclusively distribute short films from the IFFM from October 16 to 22.

"I feel blessed and so happy for this wonderful opportunity. Even though our production company is new in the industry, our partnership with International Film Festival Manhattan NYC and iWantTFC is truly a big blessing. It's an honor to be the bridge for our fellow Filipinos to virtually watch these amazing short films from various countries around the world," Ramos said.

"To all my friends and other filmmakers na mga kababayan natin dito man sa Pilipinas o saan man sa mundo, pahiram po ng schedule ninyo from October 16 to 22 and let us support this festival," he added.

Three of the selected entries from hundreds that were submitted are from the Philippines: "Protected Hill” by Dexter Macaraeg, "In Heaven's Eyes" by Harold Jay Silla, and "Love Yourself” by Miguel Antonio Sonza.

Other participating countries for this online streaming include entries from the United States, Italy, Ukraine, Australia, France, Bangladesh, the United Kingdom, Romania, Indonesia, and China.
