MANILA, Philippines — Korean singer Rosé of the girl group Blackpink is set to release her first solo studio album at the end of this year.

The artist's agency, The Black Label, confirmed that the 12-track album "Rosie" will come out on December 12.

The agency added the singer contributed to both the lyrics and composition of the entire tracklist.

Rosé herself confirmed the album release by posting the cover art on her Instagram account, recounting her journey on creating the album after Blackpink finished its "Born Pink" world tour last year.

"I have poured my blood and tears into this album. I cannot wait for you to listen to this little journal of mine," the singer said. "Rosie — the name I allow my friends and family to call me. With this album, I hope you all feel that much closer to me."

Rosé recently signed a deal with American record label Atlantic Records, three months after signing with The Black Label for solo activities.

Blackpink only renewed an exclusive contract for group activities with YG Entertainment last year.

Rosé previously released the single album "R," featuring the singles "On the Ground" and "Gone."

"On the Ground" topped the Billboard Global 200 chart and reached No. 70 on the Billboard Hot 100, setting the record for the highest-charting song by a female K-pop solo artist.
