MANILA, Philippines — Korean singer Jisoo is the latest member of the girl group Blackpink to establish a label that will handle her solo projects.

Jisoo officially launched her label Blissoo, confirming rumors about putting up her own label with her brother Jung-hoon.

"I'm excited to share my new start with Blissoo. Stay tuned for what's to come, as I'm dedicated to bringing joy and happiness to each and everyone of you," Jisoo said in a social media post.

The artist also asked fans for their continuous support for her and for Blackpink.

Blissoo's website is already up and running. Its name is "a combination of Bliss, symbolizing complete happiness, and Jisoo, an artist whose charm unfolds like a precious gift."

"Transcending the boundaries of genres and fields, our mission is to share the happiness that Jisoo creates in her own unique way," the label's description read.

Fellow Blackpink member, Jennie, launched her own label Odd Atelier last December, while earlier this month, Lisa launched the management label Lloud.

According to Korean music insiders, Blackpink's remaining member, Rosé, is eyeing to establish her own own solo label.

Group activities with Blackpink will still be managed by YG Entertainment after the group renewed an exclusive contract with the agency.

Last year, Jisoo released her solo debut album "Me," which featured the single "Flower." The album's other song, "All Eyes On Me," reached high on global charts, including Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, New Zealand, Hungary and the Philippines.

After several cameo roles, Jisoo starred in her first television series "Snowdrop," opposite Jung Hae-in. After a special appearance in "Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman," Jisoo will make her grand film debut in "Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint" with Ahn Hyo-seop and Lee Min-ho.
